Outpatient clinic for Musicians

At the Berlin Center for Musicians’ Medicine (BCMM) Prof. Dr. med. Alexander Schmidt offers a general medical consultation for musicians suffering from occupational health disorders or performance psychology problems.

The consultation is free of charge for students and teachers of the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, and the University of the Arts Berlin as well as other musicians with referral certificate and includes diagnostics, counselling and therapy for occupational diseases.

As far as necessary for special questions, BCMM enables musicians to be passed on to specialists from different fields, which contributes to an optimal supply for musicians seeking advice.

Music-physiological Consultation

The physiotherapists Carolina Lares-Jaffé, Anja Freytag and Verena Richter as well as Prof. Dr. med. Alexander Schmidt offer a music-physiological consultation for students of the Hanns Eisler School of Music Berlin, the University of the Arts Berlin and the Jazz Institute Berlin. This includes individual counselling and analyses on the instrument for questions on physical and mental topics, playing problems, pain, etc.
